Opportunities to be sung at . . . concerts, clubs, etc

Maybe you’re not quite ready to sing yourself or maybe you just love being sung to or played to too! Here below are a few of the opportunities I’ve heard about recently for concerts to go to fairly locally. Maybe see you at one of these. I don’t try to keep this up to date with individual concerts (or I’d be adjusting the website constantly!) so just include things that offer singing to see on a more regular basis.

Grange over Sands Concert Club

This has been going since 1973 and has wonderful performers on the bill – sometimes singers. Do get a look at the website linked to above.

Pandora's Handbag - an acapella harmony singing group consisting of four women - Clare Elleray, Annette McMillan, Helen Towler and Rachael Wadey

Pandora’s Handbag

I sing in a quartet of women – really just for the pure fun of it! – and we do occasionally get to do a concert. The link in our name above will take you to our website where any concerts we’re doing are advertised.

Five in a Bar - Jude Glendinning, Anne Green, Val Macconnell, Diane Sammons and Carole Wood.

Five In A Bar

I saw this group when I first moved up to Kendal – they do the most wonderful Christmas event (along with others) in Lancaster Castle. 5 women, lovely singing, whole variety of song types. Again the link will take you to their website where any concerts they’re doing will be advertised.
